Taking control of your personal finances is a task that you really should not put off. Many people know less than they would like to about this vital field. You do not need intensive training or long-term schooling to cultivate your personal finance skills, though. This article presents a few quick tips that can improve your financial savvy.

Learn the signs of financial distress to a lender and avoid them. Suddenly opening multiple accounts or attempting to are huge red flags on your credit report. Using one credit card to pay off another is a sign of distress as well. Actions like these tell a prospective lender that you are not able to survive on your current income.

If you absolutely need a credit card, search for one that offers you rewards to gain an added personal finance benefit. Most cards offer rewards in various forms. The ones that can help you best are the ones that offer little to no fees. Simply pay your balance off in full each month and get the bonus.

With gas prices skyrocketing, we all need to find ways to conserve fuel. For example, don’t go to the store until you have another errand in the same area. Schedule multiple appointments for one day to avoid many trips that will deplete your gas tank. Think of some other ways to conserve and you will have more cash in your wallet!

Take taxi fees into consideration, when financially preparing for your trip. Most people are too preoccupied thinking about hotel, food and leisure expenses, to remember that they need money for taxis. When making a taxi or car reservation, ask how much the ride will be on the phone, so that you know how much to set aside.

Put your paperwork together before you fill out your rental application. Make sure you have your employment history for at least the last 5 years and be ready to explain any gaps there might be. Make a list of your addresses for the last 5 years and have the names and phone numbers of your landlords. Without these, it is very unlikely you would be able to lease or rent anything.

Drink water when you are eating out! Some restaurants charge almost $3.00 for a soda or glass of tea! When you’re trying to manage your personal finances you just can’t afford that! Order water instead. You’ll still be able to eat out on occasion but over the long run you’ll save a bundle in the cost of drinks alone!

Don’t apply for credit that you have no chance of getting. Every inquiry into your credit history that is authorized by you can affect your credit score. If you are applying for what is considered too much credit, your score can be lowered and this could prevent you from getting credit that you would have otherwise qualified for. 3. PERSONALLY, I make almost that by myself and couldn't imagine having a child on my income!

I think you just need to add up all the potential costs associated with raising a child. Insurance, day care, food, clothing, necessities (diapers and such), "tools," (car seat, stroller), and figure out if you can afford those things. You will also need to decide what kind of lifestyle you want for yourselves and your children. Do you want their clothes from Baby Gap or Target, Can you say no to that new Louis Vuitton purse so that you can buy necessities for the kid, etc., etc., etc…

My sister and I have a single mom who made less than that and we never wanted for anything. So, of course it's possible, it just depends on what you would prefer.

I think the thing that does concern me most, though, is the fact that you have no savings. Maybe wait just one year to save as much as possible.

Or could always not try but not try to prevent. What God wants to happen will… if that's your sort of thing, of course. ;)

    Good luck to ya!

  4. My husband and I just went down the exact same road. Now we have a 4 month old baby boy. My advice is this: If you keep waiting for the right time, then the right time will never get here. On average we have about the same income as you do. We also have about the same debt, we have hardly anything in savings and we are in the process of signing papers to buy a house. The baby is the best thing that could have ever happened to us. Now because of the baby, we actually have a reason to save money, and a reason to pay off our debt quicker, and well, you get the point. Now, we cant imagine how we ever lived without him. My childs doc also recomended that we use Target brand formula because it is the same thing as Enfamil. We also use Target brand diapers and wipes. I have been working with children for the past 8 years and I know the difference between cheep diapers and wipes and expensive ones. Target brand is awsome. Here is a rundown of our monthly baby expence.
    Formula $60.00
    Diapers $30.00
    Wipes $15.00
Meds, including Tylenol diaper rash cream, baby wash, etc.
    $ 20.00
Advice on clothes- Buy a few nice outfits and try to get hand me downs for the rest because they grow so fast the it is scary. Other people will buy you enough clothes to supply you for a while. The start up cost for the crib, carseat and other essentail items is a little high, we spent about $1300.00, but it is worth every penny. Our son even has his own savings account. Hopefully this info will help you with your decision and if your decision is yes, then let me say congratulations and enjoy him/her because they grow up way too fast.

  5. You can't get readings online for free…

The best thing to do if you're really strong about it is go out of town or city and find a psychic downtown.

  6. It is like trying to get "beamed" up via StarTrek means when the cells & fluids are in constant flux. So are humans who have free will. What one person does one thing good or bad, it affects another, whether we know it or not and since every second there is a change somewhere, no physic can help you with all the factors that need to be put into an equation.

You might want to look up great sages in Judaism, a few around have the insight to see dimensions no tv reader or psychic can. It isn't that they will tell you your future, but will help you find a path in life that will bring out the best in yourself against your animal instincts. These great men are scattered around the globe, but a few found in US. You might want to ask Chabad.org for some direction, and they aren't on the internet, but need to see the people in person. I know one that actually advised a woman, looking for her soulmate, to take a trip to the jungles of SA to help out a group looking for special plants for medical use. She thought it was stupid. Turns out she found a relative working in the group and got asked to join. There she met her future husband. Might seem far fetched, but well, sometimes we have to be in front of the train to know that it is coming our way.

There was once a guy that wanted desperately to have a child of his own, boy or girl, didn't matter. He went to a great sage and begged for help. The sage told him that God helps those that help themselves, and if he elevated his own commitment to God by doing what God's asks in His commands, they wait and see. After 14 or so months, the man showed up again, asked the same question, said the sage was a fake. The sage said to the man, "You are wrong, you slept with your wife's maid and she is now carrying your child." Well, sometimes we get sidetracked by our own mistakes. Too bad this guy thought adultery wasn't a factor.

See Hanoch Teller's books at Feldheim Publishers. So many miracles and messages from God via His Word, the books will help you, really, to find your path. See also at Chabad–"Kabbalah on Witchcraft"–so much of the dark arts come from people that bring out their evil inclination from their own animal soul, like the Amityville story of the young girl. We can also bring out the good, sometimes we don't see a message that has been there all along. See at the publishers some of the modern great sages you can visit yourself today. They don't look to be paid to help people, but it would be nice to give a donation for the many that come to see him and need food, shelter and help while waiting. They also house people that have relatives in hospitals stay nearby, so all the funds are for charity works. Good luck.

As for psychics, seen many pass through many jails for fraud. So beware, free or not, saying something negative seems innocent, but can bother you for years to come. What we fear is fear of the unknown and are our worst own enemy. Good luck in your search.

  10. Go for it! You will find a way to provide and your expenses and debt aren't that bad. My husband and I have been trying for a baby and he is in transition right now because he is getting out of the Army. We decided we were ready and that was that. Yes we have expenses, who doesn't? There are many ways to save on baby needs. Generic brands work just as well, you don't have to have the latest stroller (Frog: $700+!) a simple one will work just fine. A used bouncer will work just fine, a crib and clothing without bows or tags that baby can choke on or pull off when teething you can get them used at baby boutiques (check the brand on bouncers, cribs and clothing for any recalls). For strollers, car-seats, bath seats, and high-chairs, it's better to buy them new because of the safety issue. NEVER get a used car-seat for a baby because you do not know it was involved in an accident or not. The stroller, you may be able to get this used, just check with consumer safety reports for recalled items. They have a list from the early '90's. You can go to you local bookstore on ways to save money on your baby. There are many Internet resources too. Parents.com.One other thing: When you decide you have "enough" money, you may find you don't conceive right away, and if you try now, even then, it can take up to a year for healthy couples; especially if you are going off of birth control (personal experience) so……..GOOD LUCK and GO FOR IT!:)
